Established in 1992, we are an independent IIROC dealer-member that has evolved alongside the markets we interact with.

Based in Toronto, ITG is a significant participant on all Canadian trading venues and US exchanges, with nearly 1000 publicly listed issuers under contract or under assignment from listing exchanges.

Dave Houlding
CHAIRMAN

Dave joined ITG in 1997 as a Registered Trader and Managing Partner. He subsequently held the position of President and CEO. Currently Dave is the Chairman of ITG, Head of Trading,and Chief Risk Officer.

Dave has held positions as Senior Institutional Equities Trader, Market Maker, and Registered Trader. Dave was appointed as a Floor Governor until the Trading Floor was decommissioned and sat on several TSE Trading Policy and Procedure committees, Co-Chaired the Market Maker Advisory Committee, and has also served on IIROC’s Ontario District Council.

Sean Debotte
President, CEO, & UDP

Sean has been a contributing member of the Canadian securities industry for the past 22 years and has held several roles within the industry, including as a proprietary trader, derivatives strategist, business development officer, and has served as the CEO of two Canadian equities marketplaces.

He currently serves as the President, CEO, and Ultimate Designated Person (UDP) of Independent Trading Group (ITG) Inc., a Toronto based CIRO broker/dealer focused on liquidity provision, agency execution, and electronic trading.

Raymond Tung
Chief Operating Officer

Raymond is Chief Operating Officer of Independent Trading Group (ITG) Inc., a Toronto based CIRO broker/dealer focused on liquidity provision, agency execution, and electronic trading. Prior to that, Raymond was a Business Consultant at HOOPP, where he led various development teams.

He has also served as the COO of two Canadian equities marketplaces where he contributed to Canadian marketplace and regulatory committees and round tables.

Jake Schonenberger
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Jake is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA), who joined the ITG team in 2019. He was formally a Senior Manager with KPMG LLP, where he specialized in financial services clients. Jake joined DV Trading in 2017, an affiliate of ITG, where he worked with the finance, treasury, risk, and operations teams focusing on internal management reporting.

Jake brings a variety of skills and experience encompassing financial reporting, internal controls and SOX compliance, governance, as well as financial analysis and due diligence.

Peter Berdeklis
CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER (CtO)

Dr. Peter Berdeklis is the lead developer and chief architect of Serenity. Peter has built automated trading desks at several Toronto financial firms. He spent 8 years at National Bank Financial, where he was a Managing Director with the Global Equities Derivatives Group and led the development of their internal automated trading platform.

Peter has successfully directed a multitude of transformational projects spanning diverse business sectors and timescales.

Nick Savona
CHIEF COMPLIANCE OFFICER

Nick is Chief Compliance Officer and is responsible for regulatory oversight of capital markets and trading compliance. His career in capital markets spans over three decades in senior leadership roles in sales and trading at various firms, from large-scale and boutique broker dealers, to alternative trading systems with a global reach. In addition to his role at ITG, Nick is a member of the Financial Services Tribunal of Ontario, which adjudicates cases across financial services sectors.

Nick holds an LL.M. in Securities Law from Osgoode Hall Law School.

Jeff Gamble
Managing Director, Issuer Services

Jeff Gamble brings over three decades of experience as an institutional sales trader on Bay Street and Wall Street. Having worked on the floor of the Toronto Stock Exchange as well as representing Canadian market makers in New York, Jeff has dedicated his career to delivering expert trading, execution, and market making services.

Jeff served on the board of the (IETA) Institutional Equity Traders Association, (CSTA) Canadian Security Traders Association & the (VSTA) Vancouver Traders Association.

Managing Director
